UP-COMING EDITORIAL IN FARMFEST REPORT!!!!!!!!

Selling more than half a million dollars worth of equipment on the first day of Elders FarmFest 2023, Steven Ragenovich, of Brisbane Mini Excavator Sales and Hercules Loaders, is over the moon with his field days campaign.

"It was much better than I expected and we sold five pieces of equipment on the first day, which set us up for a great few days," Mr Ragenovich said.

"It has been a very successful field days for us selling five machines on the first day, which is the best start we've ever had," he said.

"We sold three loaders, an excavator and a track skid steer on day one. We are quite surprised really but again it gets back to word of mouth, after sales service, and spare parts support and that's what we are all about."

As sales manager, Mr Ragenovich said these things didn't just happen, and put it down to a lot of hard work."We have been travelling the length and breadth of Queensland and NSW for many years," he said.

"We employ around 20 people and have been in business for more than 35 years, and have been coming to FarmFest for the past 23 years."

He credits his success at FarmFest to longevity, reliability and being a name people know and trust."My father-in-law, Mike Collins, started the business and still owns it. It has developed into a big business now, and it's getting bigger and bigger," Mr Ragenovich said.

"We've had the best three years since we've been open, probably because the agriculture game has gotten bigger and bigger, especially in beef, grain, and aquaculture," he said."We supply to many different agricultural entities and it's forever opening up and evolving."Every day there is a different application for one of our loaders, skid steers, etc. We've gone from supplying civil groups, which we still do, to the ag sector which makes up about 90 per cent of our business now.

"We supply to individual pastoral owners up to large pastoral companies, the likes of Kidman Group, Paraway Pastoral, and Consolidated Pastoral who are all buying equipment from us."It gives us a larger viewing to the pastoral companies out there, and they all talk, so we get a good wrap."

When asked what was next for Brisbane Mini Excavator Service, Mr Ragenovich said he was looking to attending another five field days this year."We've got AG-Grow, AgQuip, Westech, Orange and Henty, coming up which we will attend, and then the big one next year will be Beef Australia 2024."

Mr Ragenovich said Hercules Loaders had just signed a contract to again be a major sponsor of Beef Australia, for the third year in succession.
